Edward Cobb

Edward Cobb is a Vice President with BEA Systems, a leading application infrastructure provider where he oversees BEA’s participation in standards and open source organizations, including the Java Community Process (JCP), W3C, OASIS, OMG, WS-I and the Eclipse Foundation. He is also responsible for BEA’s involvement in technical collaborations with other software companies including the Web Services set of specifications (with IBM and Microsoft) and the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Programming Model specifications (OSOA) with IBM, Oracle, and SAP among others.

 

Dr. Mike Edwards

OSOA expert

Mike Edwards is a Strategist on Service Oriented Architecture software with IBM at the Hursley Laboratory near Winchester in England.Mike is currently working on the specifications for Service Component Architecture (SCA). He is the chair of the Assembly Specification Working Group in the Open SOA collaboration (OSOA) and is an active participant on the other SCA specifications. Mike has worked on SOA software and Web services for the past 4 years, helping to build the WebSphere Web Services toolkit prior to the current involvement with both the Service Data Objects and SCA specifications.

Anish Karmarkar

OSOA expert

Dr. Karmarkar is an important member of SCA specs author team. He has many years experience in the research, development and specsification making of distributed systems. He is actively involved in the development of many standards related to Web services, Java and SOA, including SOAP 1.2, WSDL 2.0, WS-Addressing, WS-Reliable Messaging, MTOM/XOP, WS-I Basic Profile, and SCA. He is also a member of many standards organizations.

 

 

Jim Marino

BEA Senior Principal Technologist. He works at BEA Systems in the office of the CTO on emerging technologies. He is involved in the development of the SCA specifications and the Apache Tuscany Project. Prior to BEA, Jim was with Art Technology Group and a number of Bay Area startups.

General Manager of IDC China

With over 30 years experience in market consulting he has served in many leading transnation enterprises with responsibility for business expansion, management consulting and the overall operation and management. Prior to IDC, Mr. Guo was the executive director and general manager of the Gallup Organization, who was responsible for establishing enterprise strategy, managing consulting team and providing high quality business and management consultancies for foreign and domestic enterprises. Under his direction the Gallup Organization won a high admiration in the management and consulting industry in china.

 

Dr. Larry Huang

One of the founders of Primeton Technologies, CTO, doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science of University of Maryland. He was once the vice president of AsiaInfo , CTO. He is the author of Software Nirvana and New Software Engineering: A Component-Oriented Approach and wrote many white papers and articles.

 

 

 

Chris Cheng

OSOA expert

Vice president of Primeton Technologies and leader of OSOA organization in China. He has witnessed the growth of China’s middleware software and once was the chief technical spokesman of BEA Systems (China) Ltd., middleware director of east china region in IBM (China).
